Shavkat's Story

Many people reject God out of anger – they are angry about some circumstance in their lives. This is even true of Muslims in Central Asia. But God continues to pursue, sometimes even showing Himself in powerful visions and dreams! Remember, these are real people, and we need to pray for them. People like Shavkat.

Shavkat grew up in a Muslim family. He prayed five times a day and studied the Quran. But this did not make his life better. In fact, he had been put in jail for many years for crimes that he had committed.

Shavkat blamed God for all this, because he believed that God had decided his fate and that he had no choice. Sometimes, he would curse God for letting him go to jail. Shavkat was angry, and he cried out, “God, you should not be this way! You never even game me a chance!”

Would Shavkat ever learn who God really is? What would happen if he did?
