- Pray for safety over the many men and women who live in this neighborhood that work in other parts of the city as fire fighters and police officers.
- Many people in Forest Glen are largely concerned with pursuing worldly success and fortune. Pray that God will create a spiritual thirst for the gospel resulting in people longing to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
- Many residents in the community are busy with family and careers. Pray that they would be connected with a church body, and dedicate their specific passions and giftings to be a positive influence in their community, workplaces, and families.
- Pray for the elderly people who live here, that they would be treated with dignity and kindness by their neighbors and society at large.

About Forest Glen
Forest Glen is home to many city administrators, lawyers, judges, and political figures. Forest Glen’s far northwest locale secluded it from the city surrounded by forest preserves, parks and the North Branch of the Chicago River. As Chicago urbanization grew outward, railroad stops at Forest Glen and Edgebrook ushered in commuter settlement by the 1880s.
Progress was stilted by the relative seclusion of Forest Glen from the city until the 1920s, when home building was prioritized. By 1940 Forest Glen showed signs of being a wealthy community with fine homes, mostly residential in nature.
There were few apartments or townhouses, though homes in the area were starkly diverse and stratified. Currently, the community continues to be stable, compared to most of Chicago, with a sense of political power. To this day, the area remains home to a majority white, Roman Catholic community.
