Soon before nightfall on January 12, 2010, the nation of Haiti was rocked by a severe earthquake, causing great devastation and loss of life in a country already ravaged by poverty and spiritual need. It is timely that we learn more about the country of Haiti and intercede.

- Physical Aid: With very little fertile ground in Haiti, farming output and food supply are continually low.

Father, I lift up to you the still-suffering people of Haiti. I pray that you will use the tragic earthquake and its aftermath to shine your light through others who come to the aid of this nation. I pray for truth to be proclaimed. I pray that you would bless the land and that you would pour out your material blessings on this extremely poor country. Thank you for all the good that has been done recently in Haiti.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sparing the lives of my friends in Haiti. Be with those who are without- may they call upon You and find a true refuge and strength- a strong tower. Give strength and wisdom to the Christians so that they can guide the lost to you the one true savior.
Lord deliver them from the pit. Give them hope and joy unspeakable. Renew them and refresh them as You hold them in the palm of Your hand. Give the medical people strength, wisdom and supply their every need. Help them minister Your love and grace. Help them have Your peace.
We ask for many miracles for Haiti. Your word says to Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified: do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be you wherever you go. Give your people hope Lord Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you and praise you that you have been working for Haiti’s good and that many people are coming to know you more. I praise you for the freedom from spiritual bondage that many Haitians are coming to experience. Now as the country recovers from this tragedy, I pray that you be glorified in the efforts and bring healing to the people and the land. Keep those who do not yet know you, alive so they may come to Salvation and keep a remnant of solid believers to spread your renown. We know you grieve with us and are near those who are dying and those who have lost everything, so we put our trust in you. Provide for the needs of so many there and continue the work you have started. I bless your name and wait on You! In the Name of Jesus, AMEN, let it be!
Dear God of the Universe, in Psalm 46:10 You say, “Be silent and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” I pray that people around the world will be silenced by the devastating effects from the powerful tremors of the earthquake in Haiti and will acknowledge the one, true, sovereign God of all mankind and all creation. Please use this quake to shake the thinking of the people of Haiti into seeing the futility of voodoo and their need for You in this great time of devastation. May the Hope and Truth of the Gospel ring out in this country beginning today and may the name of Jesus be lifted up as light in this dark land.
